Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority brings together the region’s six local councils – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.

It was established on 1 April 2014 by statutory instrument. Composition of the combined authority is made up of the leaders of the six principal membership authorities, plus several non-voting members with various interests in the activities of the combined authority.

The LCRCA is a strategic authority with powers and responsibilities over the regions transport, economic development and regeneration, culture and tourism, energy, justice and health.
