Scanned borehole records

The database contains scanned images of borehole and site investigation records acquired by BGS in its role as the National Geological Records Centre. The first phase of the programme was completed in 1992 and has been supplemented by additional data acquired through occasional projects. The data are available as raster files or hardcopy, not as text files. The availability of scanned images is restricted to a few major conurbations including Newcastle upon Tyne and Telford.
