Priority Habitats - Heathland

The heathland database was mapped using evidence gathered from on the ground reconnaissance surveys, ortho-photography survey and existing knowledge of sites of high quality. The geographical coverage of the survey concentrated on areas of known dry heath habitats concentrated in south-eastern areas of Northern Ireland and on Rathlin Island.
