Porewater dissolved Inorganic nutrients data from sediment cores collected in the North Sea between 2023 and 2024 and the Celtic Sea during 2023

These sample data are from sediment cores collected in the North Sea and the Celtic Seas on three surveys undertaken between 2023 and 2024 using a NIOZ (Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research design) Box Corer during 3 surveys conducted by the Research Vessel (RV) Cefas Endeavour. Samples were analysed for and data presented for TOxN (Total Oxidized Nitrogen = nitrate + nitrite), nitrite, soluble reactive silicate (SRS), orthophosphate, and ammoniacal nitrogen (ammonia + ammonium) and used to estimate nutrient fluxes between the seabed and overlying water column.
