Ovenden ward

The Ovenden ward dataset includes the ward map; demographic profile; Public Health England local health report; Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) factsheet; Public health data; elections data and maps; anti-poverty data; and other ward data. Ovenden ward is a mile to the north of Halifax town centre and is predominantly residential. There are industrial areas mainly in the east of the ward along Shay Lane. Settlements include Furness, Wheatley and Lee Mount. Shroggs Park is close to Lee Mount. The main road through the ward is the Halifax to Keighley A629 road. New ward information 2026: There will be local (district) elections on 7th May 2026 for new wards following a Local Government Boundary Commission review. The information on this ward data page is based on ward boundaries that predate these elections. The Office for National Statistics is due to publish 2026 ward boundary information in June / July 2026. Once that has been published Calderdale Dataworks will be updated to include new ward data pages.
