Benthic Sampling From Aggregate Extraction Environmental Assessment Reference Stations - Isle of Wight and Eastern English Channel 1998-2006

Benthic sampling data from 0.1m2 Hamon grabs taken at a network of selected benthic sampling stations within the Isle of Wight and Eastern English Channel regions between 1998-2005. These stations were defined as Environmental Assessment Reference Stations (EARS). Data is selected site monitoring, containing details of macrofauna found in each sample.

This data was part of a continuation of a time-series under a previous Defra project (AO903) within the Isle of Wight and Cross Sands regions. Newly acquired and existing data from each of the three sampling locations has been analysed independently following a standardised analytical approach and results presented in three site-specific peer-reviewed publications.
