Behavioural responses of moths to different lighting environments, Penryn, Cornwall, UK, March-October 2024

This dataset contains the behavioural responses of moths to different lighting environments around the University of Exeter's Penryn campus, in Penryn, Cornwall, UK. The fieldwork experiments were carried out from March to October 2024. Moths were captured and then released in different lighting environments. From each release the time to move, type of movement and direction of movement was recorded. Through the analysis of the behavioural responses in variable lighting environments, we can gauge the impact of their variation on moth behaviour. The fieldwork was carried out by Maisy Inston, Charlie Rayner and Jon Bennie. Analysis was performed by Maisy Inston and Charlie Rayner.
