Luddendenfoot ward is to the west of Halifax, and is the third largest ward. It includes extensive areas of open moorland through which Luddenden Dene and Cragg Vale cut wooded valleys. The largest town is Mytholmroyd, and smaller settlements include Wainstalls, Midgley, Booth, Luddenden, Luddendenfoot and Cragg Vale. The Calder Valley bisects the ward east to west, where most of the industry and the main transport routes (road and rail) are located. There is a railway station at Mytholmroyd.
