British Geological Survey (BGS) Sampling Survey 1979/ZD/02: Diving Project: Helmsdale, North Sea (28/Aug/1979 to 02/Sep/1979)

This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine sampling survey took place in August/September 1979 in the North Sea from a Zodiac. The aim of this dive survey was to collect samples for analysis to evaluate possible downstream and offshore movement of gold from the River Helmsdale. Seabed samples were collected by divers. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS Marine Geology Internal Report WB/MI/79/10.
